Round 1 Stevenson tries to hyperextend the knee of Leon Long with a kick to the kneecap. Leon Long hops back to avoid it. Maurice Stevenson connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters begin to exchange Stevenson catches Leon with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Leon gather himself. Leon says he is ok and the fight continues. "Deion" gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Stevenson lands a double punch to the head of Leon Long. Maurice Stevenson begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Long rolls to being mounted instead. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Maurice Stevenson executes a single leg giving him the back of Leon. Leon Long carefully protects himself from Maurices strikes. "Deion" starts to wiggle out of back control, Maurice lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "Deion" is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Maurice Stevenson. Maurice Stevenson now has side control. Maurice Stevenson slides his knee across the body of Leon Long and takes full mount. "Deion" attempts to buck Maurice off from mount but Maurice keeps his base and maintains position. Long attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Stevenson connects with a hard punch making Leon bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Maurice drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Leon sets a guillotine choke but Maurice slips out at the last moment. Maurice is now caught in guard. Leon starts to lock a triangle. Stevenson postures up and starts to stand up. Leon lands a stiff upkick, slumping Stevenson back into his guard. Maurice Stevenson is pulled close and is hit with a couple of strong heel strikes to the back. "Deion" connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. "Deion" works the rubber guard on Maurice Stevenson, eventually allowing an omaplata to be set in. Maurice Stevenson quickly taps out.
