Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Tomb Raider" begins to thrust her shoulder in the face of Erickson. April attempts a takedown from the clinch, but "Tomb Raider" pulls a switch on her, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Cunha connects with a right that puts April off balance tumbling to the mat, as Cunha towers over her. Cunha drops a huge strike to Aprils chin, landing into her guard. Erickson backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. A trip to the ground allows Lara to move into the guard of April. Cunha knocks the wind out of Erickson with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. Erickson attempts to create some space from her guard, but Lara Cunha sees the opening and passes to full mount. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 April connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. April ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Cunha to the mat, and her back. Giving up her back, Cunha panics and gives up mount instead. Lara shifts her head and hips to keep April Erickson off balance and unable to land strikes. Erickson grabs an arm and swings over for a tight armbar. "Tomb Raider" taps out.
