Round 1
James connects with a strong right hook. The fighters circle each other. James executes a single leg giving him the back of "CM Punk". Lance carefully protects himself from Williamss strikes. Lance starts to wiggle out of back control, Williams lets him escape putting them both on their feet. A wild hook from "CM Punk" is ducked by James who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. James connects with a strong right hook. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Williams parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross that sends him to the canvas. Lance follows with a falling punch into Jamess guard. James connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Lance takes advantage of a mental laps from Williams and moves into full mount. James gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Jones tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. James starts to wiggle out of back control, Lance Jones lets him escape putting them both on their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. James Williams recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. A lazy leg kick from James is caught by Jones who lands a huge overhand right, flooring James. Jones kicks at the legs of James and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells James to stand. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
"CM Punk" stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. James attempts to pass Lances guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. James Williams telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but "CM Punk" gives up his back to stop the attempt. Lance Jones slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. James Williams takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in Joness guard. Williams passes through Lances guard into mount. Lance Jones gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Lance Jones carefully protects himself from Williamss strikes. James Williams sets in a rear naked choke. Jones taps out.
