Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Markov Petrov lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Mark Whelan recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Whelan presses forward and grazes Petrov with a combo. Petrov wants none of the stand up and clinches with Whelan to then savagely throw him down to the ground. Mark Whelan is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Markov shoots a takedown from a distance putting "The Real Deal" on the ground. "The Real Deal" is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Markov Petrov takes advantage of a mental laps from Mark Whelan and moves into full mount. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Markov lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. While tied up, Mark Whelan is met with a hard uppercut. "The Real Deal" connects with a hard jab as Markov attempts a wide outside hook. Whelan lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Mark Whelan unleashes a flurry of punches on Petrov. A looping right hook from Markov sends Mark to the mat. Round 4
Markov Petrov lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Whelan. Mark Whelan connects with a hard jab as Markov attempts a wide outside hook. The fighters circle each other. "The Soviet Superstar" snaps back the head of "The Real Deal" with a stiff jab. The fighters circle each other. Markov Petrov lands a double jab. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 5
"The Real Deal" shuffles away from "The Soviet Superstars" strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Markov backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "The Soviet Superstar" dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with "The Real Deal" standing over him. Mark grabs a foot and kicks at "The Soviet Superstars" thighs. He then backs off and Markov stands back up. Petrov is cut open under the eye by a standing elbow strike. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from "The Real Deal" is defended well by Markov Petrov. "The Real Deal" grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. "The Real Deal" returns to the clinch. Mark works to Markovs back while standing. Mark throws a couple of outside shots until Markov is able to work his way back to the clinch. The bell signals the end of round 5.
