Round 1
Mark backs away as "The Soviet Superstar" darts in. Mark jumps forward in a somersault motion connection with a flip kick that rocks "The Soviet Superstar". "The Soviet Superstar" stands over Whelan, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Whelan is able to grab an arm and pull "The Soviet Superstar" into his guard. Whelan begins to posture on his side. "The Soviet Superstar" lands a couple of outside hooks and Whelan returns to the guard. Markov distracts Mark with peppering shots. Markov then isolates a leg and sinks a achilles lock. Mark is able to force his way out but gives up mount in the ensuing scramble. Petrov maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Mark gets pummeled by the fists of "The Soviet Superstar". Mark gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. "The Soviet Superstar" lays into Mark with some strong shots forcing Mark to give up mount position. Mark Whelan attempts to escape mount but has no luck. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Mark hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Petrov. Both fighters begin to exchange Whelan catches "The Soviet Superstar" with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets "The Soviet Superstar" gather himself. "The Soviet Superstar" says he is ok and the fight continues. Whelan just misses with a head kick, grazing Markov Petrovs skull. Mark circles away from Petrov, landing strong kicks to the lead leg. Petrov parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Petrov tries to hyperextend the knee of Mark Whelan with a kick to the kneecap. Mark Whelan hops back to avoid it. Markov Petrov connects with a strong body shot combo. Mark Whelan connects with a jab cross combination. Markov snaps back the head of Mark Whelan with a stiff jab. Mark throws a push kick. "The Soviet Superstar" shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into "The Real Deals" nose. "The Real Deal" strikes with a straight front kick.Round 3 comes to a close.

Round 4
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "The Real Deal" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. "The Real Deal" takes Markovs back standing. Markov isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but "The Real Deal" lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Markov to release. Mark connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Markov Petrov. Mark Whelan lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Mark Whelan connects with a brutal kick to the liver of Petrov who falls to the ground. Mark Whelan waves him back to his feet. Markov Petrov is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Whelan explodes forward with a push kick that puts Markov Petrov on the canvas. Whelan grabs a foot and kicks at Markovs thighs. He then backs off and Markov stands back up. The bell signals the end of round 4.

Round 5
Markov throws a cross that easily dodged by Mark. "The Soviet Superstar" hits an uppercut to the head of Whelan followed by a hard hook. Mark Whelan lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Whelan lands a double jab. Mark tries to hyperextend the knee of Markov with a kick to the kneecap. Markov hops back to avoid it. After dodging a jab, Mark Whelan lands a kick to the liver of "The Soviet Superstar" who steps back only to take a knee. Mark Whelan rushes forward to capitalize but "The Soviet Superstar" falls to his back to avoid the onslaught. Round 5 is over.
