Round 1 Sherk is staggered by a jab to the chin. Sherk attempts a striking combination, but Hideo Nagumo forces the clinch. Hideo Nagumo connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Joey is dazed on the mat. Nagumo lays into "The Violets" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Joey Sherk does so. Nagumo takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Joey Sherk attempts a striking combination, but Nagumo forces the clinch. "The Violet" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Hideo Nagumo and "The Violet" begin to trade strike after strike. "The Violet" lands a cross, Hideo Nagumo connects with an uppercut. Both fighters are swinging away. Hideo Nagumo suddenly connects with a hook that puts "The Violet" to sleep.
