Round 1 "The Doctor" attempts to press in on Babineaux but is met with powerful inside-leg kicks. Eugene pushes away from Heiko and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Heiko is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Eugene Babineaux explodes forward with a push kick that puts Heiko on the canvas. Eugene grabs a foot and kicks at "The Doctors" thighs. He then backs off and Heiko Akker stands back up. Eugene Babineaux catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Heiko. Babineaux stands over Heiko, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Heiko cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Eugene lays into "The Doctors" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. "The Doctor" does so. Heiko throws a push kick. Babineaux shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Heiko Akkers nose.
Babineaux sends Heiko to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Eugene Babineaux throws an axe kick that misses the target. Heiko Akker connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Eugene connects with a hard punch making "The Doctor" bring him in to a tight clinch. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 "The Doctor" connects with a hard punch making Babineaux bring him in to a tight clinch. Heiko lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Eugene takes Heikos back standing. Heiko Akker isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Eugene lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Heiko Akker to release. Eugene parries a jab but leaves himself open for an uppercut. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Heiko dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Babineaux. Heiko blocks a cross, liver shot combo but is pushed backward. Babineaux tries to press the action but is met with a jab, cross, uppercut that puts him to on the floor. Heiko hovers over Babineaux pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Babineaux sends a hard up kick that rocks Heiko. Babineaux stands back up.Round 3 comes to a close.
