The contender issue
If a star doesn't win, I would see some of those guys winning the trophy and I suggest to go with blim as coach the only coach entering the tourney with two star for compensating the risky pick

The balanced way
First off, i would probably go with Phreak as coach to win the tourney ; then pick no phreak fighters because who knows? As fighters, going for 2 stars, Sensei seagal and MrT who had a long carrier and some good stats, a contender who was in the mix pretty recently, Aleski Upensky for instance. As last pick, going with your favourite fighter because you have to trust in him a bit.
